A Kmart app will only get you so far unless you take the necessary steps to get your job application taken seriously, and by that, I mean you don’t want to fill one out and have your details sitting at the bottom of some manager’s pile at their office as they try to weed out all the job applicants to find the right ones. Nobody ever said finding a job would be easy and to get a job at Kmart is no exception.

Kmart job applications are incredibly easy to fill out and submit but if you want to take it a step further and get yours taken seriously to the point where you can bet they will call you back and quickly, follow this 4 step plan:

  1. Visit the store where you hope to get a Kmart job opportunity and make sure you dress in nice, comfortable, neat casual clothing. Try your best to look natural and conservative yet sophisticated enough in the mind to make a good, lasting impression in person.  Introduce yourself to whomever and ask to speak to the supervisor in charge at the store.
  2. Once you have made contact with the person who’s running the show or even someone such as an assistant manager, let them know your reason for your visit and be personable; people love hiring others who are friendly and who seem like they can be a part of a team and get along with other co-workers. If you walk in with a serious face and no personality at all, you will have a hard time being considered for one of the Kmart store careers.
